The gift of music we have received from God is to be used as an offering of praise and worship to our God expressing our faith. Psalm 146:1 says “I will praise thee with my whole heart; before the gods I will sing praise unto thee.” We are reminded repeatedly in the Psalms to worship through song. Our prayer is that our children will develop a love to do just that so that they may praise and worship with their whole heart as they mature in Christ.
Preschool Choir: Bible stories are reinforced as the children 2 – 5 years of age come together to learn basic music concepts through singing, listening, and musical instruments. These ‘Joyful Hearts’ are good medicine.
Children’s Choir: Children Kindergarten – 6th grades are encouraged to not only be a special part of the choir as they increase in understanding of worship through song but also to participate individually singing, acting, and reciting in various musical programs throughout the year.
Sunbeams (Great Commission Kids)
Each Wednesday night the Sunbeams, ages 2 years to 3rd grade, meet for bible study with a special emphasis on World Missions. All ages meet together for our opening and special prayer time before we split into smaller classes based on age. Our Sunbeam leaders dedicate their time to spreading God’s word to our precious children at Immanuel Baptist Church.
Children's worship is for children (ages 2 years to 3rd grade) to attend during the morning worship service. The children will sing, learn a bible story, and make a craft that correlates to the bible story. We use the Noah's Park Children's Church Curriculum from David C. Cook. Vacation Bible School
Each summer, IBC will host a vacation bible school (VBS) for children, Kindergarten through 6th grade. During each VBS, biblical truths will be taught within a particular theme.
